Tubing in Comal River

With a sizzling summer already underway, we're all feeling the urge to get wet. Fortunately, being in San Antonio puts us in close proximity to plenty of swimming holes that are perfect for having a lazy day on the water. So grab your coolers, round up the crew and tube the day away. Running through New Braunfels, the Comal River has plenty of entry-points that have dedicated fans. One such spot worth visiting on the river is at Landa Park, specifically the City Tube Chute. The slide diverts tubers around the dam and is the longest slide of its kind.

When Zeus’s master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. But to succeed in his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the thief. He must travel to the Underworld and back; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and come to terms with the father who abandoned him.

Adapted from the best-selling book The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and featuring a thrilling original rock score, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is an action-packed mythical adventure “worthy of the gods” (Time Out New York).

Teams can be up to six players, so bring your smartest friends (or some likable dummies)—or come solo. We can always help you join a team! No reservations are needed, just show up! Winning teams get bar cash and other prizes, depending on the venue. Bonus questions sprinkled throughout the quiz will net you additional goodies.
